Manager – Business Valuations | Strategy & Transactions Advisory | Melbourne

A leading global advisory firm is seeking a
Manager
to join its
Valuation, Modelling & Economics (VME)
team within its Strategy & Transactions division. This team advises clients on valuation matters across transactions, portfolio optimisation, restructuring, and strategic planning — supporting decisions related to financial reporting, tax, regulatory compliance, and commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to valuations of businesses and intangible assets for a range of purposes including M&A, tax, financial reporting, and disputes
  • Manage the preparation of valuation reports and financial models, including strategic options analysis
  • Apply critical thinking to identify issues and propose solutions aligned with client objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders

About You

We're looking for someone with strong analytical and communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for solving complex financial problems.

Preferred Experience:

  • 3–7 years of experience in valuations, corporate finance, or transaction advisory
  • Degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business
  • Experience applying valuation methodologies (DCF, market comparables, etc.)
  • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel; experience with valuation software a plus
  • Exposure to valuations for accounting or tax planning purposes
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and written communication skills
