With our Waurn Ponds Store newly renovated and busier than ever, we are excited to commence recruitment for an experienced Cafe Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic Cafe 24/7 team.

The Role

This position requires an effective and energetic Café person who possesses at least 2-years prior experience in a cafe/hospitality role. Candidates who have a chef or cooking background are strongly encouraged to apply.

This hands-on role needs someone with maturity, initiative and high organisation and time management skills along with relevant food handling knowledge and certification.

The successful candidate will possess a dynamic and team focused personality, strong work ethic and willingness to learn at all times.

Please note, rostered shifts will be spanning Thursday to Sunday each week, weekend work is essential for this role.

The Candidate

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment offering prompt and reliable service.
  • Maturity, trustworthiness and honesty.
  • Relevant food handling qualifications and an understanding of all food safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation.
  • Creativity to inspire customers through Cafe presentation, merchandising and stock management.
  • Ability to delight our customers with amazing customer service.
  • Maintaining optimal Cafe cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
