About The Role
We're thrilled to be launching a brand-new education site in Peppermint Grove in January 2026, and we'd love you to join our team

Cater Care is partnering with one of the region's prestigious schools to deliver exceptional food services to students and staff. We're seeking full-time and part-time Chefs to help bring this exciting new site to life.

In this role, you'll prepare and deliver high-quality meals for students, staff, and special functions including formal dinners - while ensuring every dish meets our standards for quality, flavour, and presentation.

Training will begin in early to mid-January, with the site opening soon after. You'll enjoy on-site parking and easy access to public transport, with nearby bus routes making your commute simple and convenient.

Roster: Working School Calendar
Full-time position:
Mon to Fri- can work a weekend day for higher salary/accumulate leave for school holidays

Part-time positions:
Sat&Sun- 6:00am-2:30pm | Sat&Sun- 11:00am-7:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present fresh, delicious meals for students and staff
  • Support bulk cooking and daily kitchen operations
  • Deliver friendly, efficient customer service with a smile
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace
  • Adherence to food & general safety practices
  • Fast, effective service - provided with a positive attitude

Desired Skills And Experience
Your Background

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, time management & attention to detail
