We are currently seeking a Wash Station Operator for our Algester, Brisbane workshop. The ideal candidate will be ready to roll up their sleeves and get dirty amongst it, knowing their role is the foundation of all the jobs we process. This role is integral as the first station for all the engine and cylinder head reconditioning work that happens in our progressive workshop.

ABOUT THE ROLE -

  • Receiving new jobs and relocating to the wash station
  • Moving the equipment through the various cleaning processes – hot washes, pressure cleaners, caustic acid tanks, ultrasonic and agitator tanks
  • Prepare and load the equipment to move onto the second station for the next stage of works
  • Packing and storing engine equipment
  • Adhering to Safe Work Practices working within a quality endorsed environment
  • Ad hoc assistance to workshop tradesmen as required
  • Attend toolbox meetings and safety meetings.

ABOUT YOU -

  • Not afraid to get your hands dirty
  • Previous experience in manual labour, manufacturing, automotive or heavy industry preferred
  • Reliable, self-motivated and have a keen eye for detail
  • Enjoy working in a team and contributing to a positive company culture
  • Willing to learn
  • Strong awareness of Work Health & Safety within a workshop environment
  • Willing to undergo pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
  • Forklift licence would be a bonus.
