Ground Recruitment is a Pty Ltd company established in July 2022. It exclusively provides highly specialised permanent recruitment services and high-performance coaching to geotechnical engineers, geologists and select clients across Australia and New Zealand.

This client is a privately owned geotechnical specialist with offices in the US, New Zealand and Australia. They have a solid commitment to their people and pride themselves on the culture within the business. They have a good understanding of the local employment market conditions and reward their staff accordingly with bonuses and ownership options as you progress upward through the company. There are additional benefits on offer which are commercial in confidence.

Their forward order book and work in hand are healthy but not crazy. They have a system in place to work on projects across all their offices, which seems to work well, so there is a variety of projects and a proven review process from senior people.

To be put forward to the client for the position of Geotechnical Engineer, you will ideally be able to demonstrate that you have previous experience working on or running small to medium-ground investigations. It would be best if you were building on your understanding of the local ground conditions, sampling methods, drilling techniques, lab scheduling, OH&S, proposal writing, project management, ground models, and report writing of basic factual and interpretative reports.

From a design perspective, you should have had some exposure to software packages such as or like Plaxis 2d & 3d, Slide 2d, Settle 3d, CPet-IT, and Wallap and be able to explain your project involvement and your level of software proficiency.
