About the Internships at Legrand

We are looking for an intern to join our R&D team based in
Prestons
. Guided by our Lead Electronics Design Engineer, you will:

  • Conducting design and analysis of Electronics circuits.
  • Testing Electronics hardware and firmware designs.
  • Assists in analyzing returned products.
  • Conducting design tasks in Altium (circuit design) and modifying design elements as required.
  • Manage technical information through Legrand procedures and systems.
  • Develop support documentation for newly built designs to allow for future development.
  • Assisting manufacturing and industrialization teams to solve production issues.
  • Participate in project team meetings and project communications.

This is a
6 month
vocational placement and we are looking for an intern who will be available to join the team and learn for 4-5 days per week.

About You

  • Current student in a degree course studying Electronics, Mechatronics, or a similar discipline.
  • Understanding of Electronics principles, theories, concepts, and ability to apply these to solve problems.
  • Willingness to learn new concepts and processes.
  • Excellent team involvement, coordination, and communications skills
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Electronic Circuit understanding especially in lighting and switch mode power supply designs would be a plus.
