The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.
NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

We are seeking an experienced dynamic Senior Communications and Stakeholder Relations Adviser to join the Communications and External Affairs Team in our Perth Office.
Role:
Reporting to the Assistant Director – Communications and External Affairs, this role will support a range of communications, media, and stakeholder relations activities. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain effective, professional relationships and drive key projects, offering creative solutions, project support and communication guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
As a skilled Communications and Stakeholder Relations Adviser, you will write and draft a wide variety of content for NOPSEMA, both externally and internally.
You will be responsible for preparing electronic and print communications including media releases, brochures, presentations, newsletter articles and regulatory publications.
You will support Ministerial and Parliamentary enquires and prepare corporate publications.
You will undertake media monitoring, identify emerging issues, produce internal media reports and manage media enquiries and records.
The successful applicant will execute event management services, including logistical support for exhibits and events, preparing business cases, budget management, developing agendas, invitee lists, sourcing suitable venues for conferences, workshops, seminars, and forums and managing key relationships with venue and service providers and suppliers.

You have experience using a variety of internal and external communication channels and preparing written communication that is appropriate and tailored for the intended audience.
You have exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills and the ability to think creatively and be proactive in keeping abreast of emerging issues.
You can work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate flexibility in managing competing priorities in a vibrant environment.
You can identify stakeholder needs and expectations, determine appropriate action and respond accordingly.
You possess tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline.
