About You

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related / science discipline with APHRA or ESSA or similarly related registration e.g. OHS, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, registered nurse, psychology, human movements, ergonomics, human factors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to effectively engage, influence and coach varied levels of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ideally have experience working in a large complex environment within mining or heavy industry, with underground operational experience preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office suite.
  • Working knowledge of Queensland workers' compensation process, and RRTWC course completion.
  • Knowledge of QLD coal mining health and safety legislation.
  • Basic Principals in Occupational Hygiene and membership of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) would be advantageous.

    Ability to work autonomously and act as the key point of point of contact for site health matters in a fast-paced environment.
