Full Stack Engineer

The Role

Unleash live is transforming industries with computer vision and live data analytics. Our platform ingests video and sensor streams, processes them with machine learning, and drives decisions in real time.

We're looking for an innovative Serverless API Full Stack Developer to design, build, and deploy modern, high-performance web applications and APIs. This role focuses heavily on leveraging AWS serverless technologies for backend development and utilizing modern frontend frameworks for user-facing applications. You'll work with engineers, designers, and domain experts to ship end-to-end workflows that feel seamless and deliver measurable impact - from asset monitoring to ad hoc inspections and alerting. This is a Sydney based role with hybrid remote and office work. Occasional domestic travel may be required.

What you'll do

• Backend Development (Serverless Focus): Design and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Frontend Development: Build responsive, high-fidelity user interfaces using Angular.
• Data Persistence: Design and optimize NoSQL data models, primarily in DynamoDB, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Infrastructure Deployment: Utilize Serverless Framework to manage and deploy serverless resources.
• Maintenance: updating lambda runtimes, sdk and tooling upgrades
• Documentation: making sure API documentation is always updated by integrating or building your own tools
• Feature/Maintenance Split: This role is expected to have a 50% focus on building new features and products and a 50% focus on maintaining existing systems

Required Skills

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Serverless Technologies: Deep, hands-on experience building and deploying production-ready applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Frontend Expertise: Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and Typescript, with demonstrable experience in one major framework (Angular preferred).
• API Design: Excellent understanding of API design principles (REST, GraphQL).
• Code Management: Proficiency with Git and standard CI/CD practices for serverless applications.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills for complex distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time data streaming using Amazon Kinesis or SQS/SNS.
• Familiarity with edge computing services like AWS CloudFront and .
• AWS Monitoring experience (CloudWatch logs)
• Experience with API's of other Cloud providers Azure / Google
