About the role

Are you passionate about healthcare and delivering exceptional service? We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Pathology Collectors to become valued members of our dedicated team in Mount Gambier and Naracoorte, SA.

This role is perfect for self-motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a keen eye for detail, and take pride in providing outstanding care and communication to patients and healthcare professionals alike.

Specific duties include:

  • Collect blood, urine, swabs, and other pathology samples from patients.

  • Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labelling.

  • Prepare and store specimens according to protocols.

  • Complete paperwork and data entry with attention to detail.

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the collection area.

  • Provide clear instructions and support to patients.

  • Follow infection control and workplace safety procedures.

  • Assist with general administrative and clerical tasks.

Skills and experience:

  • Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection, or relevant industry experience

  • Excellent customer service skills, both face-to-face and over the phone

  • Strong time management and organisational abilities

  • Sound clinical knowledge and understanding of specimen collection procedures

  • Effective communication skills with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals

  • Ability to work independently and flexibly across weekday and weekend shifts

  • Basic computer literacy and data entry skills

  • Current and valid Driver's Licence

  • Full working rights in Australia
