Our team in Sydney designs and manufactures switches that enable today's fibre optic networks around the world to carry the internet, video and mobile phone communications.

Production Engineers contribute to the teams for Alignment, and production tasks that require a significant level of technical competence and knowledge of optical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the production process to align optical WSS units.
  • Data entry of materials use and work orders into the ERP and MES systems.
  • Follow work instructions and procedures for the manufacture of product.
  • Contribute to improvements of the processes for capability, throughput and yield.

Essentials

  • Knowledge of basic optical, micro electronic, or electronic manufacturing techniques.
  • Knowledge optical fibre technology, and measurement techniques.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment with demanding goals to meet output targets.
  • The ability and willingness to rapidly learn new complex assembly processes.
  • The ability to follow written work instructions.
  • Computer literacy in word and excel.
  • Good manual dexterity and capability to routinely perform precision assembly, cleaning and inspection tasks.
  • The ability for clear written and spoken communication in English.
  • Degree level in Optoelectronics, Physics, Engineering or suitable previous experience to gain equivalent knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
