About the role

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for maximising efficiencies and enhancing business performance through the management and leadership of the Group's Financial, Inventory and Information Technology teams, platforms and partners. Key components of this role include managing Company Budget (Capex & Opex) to ensure maximum return on investment for the Group, mitigating all sales and operational disturbances and risks, leadership & development of the teams, delivery of all projects and development/execution of the long-term strategic Finance and IT plan.

A key contributor to the Executive Team and partner to the CEO, the CFO provides the leadership, financial expertise and ensures the integrity of the Groups finance/IT functions to ensure all areas can achieve their goals and successfully deliver against the company strategy.

Following a new CEO starting in the business, under new ownership; the reality is this is a time of change for the business. With an exciting growth focused road map being built now – this role will be the CEO's running mate for change and big impact.

About you

  • Post graduate qualification held (CA or CPA)
  • Retail experienced – ideally small-medium Fashion Manufacturing specific
  • A minimum of 10 years Finance management experience with 5 years at a senior leadership level reporting into CEO/Board
  • Experience leading functions/teams across Finance, Systems, Supply Chain, Property/Facilities – and/or other similar operational functions within a retail setting
  • Proven experienced operator in a high change setting/environment
  • Self-starter – driven to make a mark, leave the role bigger then when you started it
  • Courageous and curious enough to challenge the status quos and ask why
  • Highly personable with the ability to quickly build rapport, influence and read people
  • Commercial savviness – with an eye for partnership opportunities & finesse to negotiate strongly
  • A culture considered leader, thinking through numbers whilst also considering cultural impact
