We're looking for a curious and motivated
Graduate Back-End Developer
to join our growing digital team and help shape the future of our Power Platform environment. In this role, you'll support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of data integration and automation solutions across Power Apps and the broader Power Platform.
As a Graduate backend developer, you'll work hands-on with data—transforming it to meet reporting needs, investigating discrepancies, and building smart automation processes that improve how we work. You'll collaborate with a range of teams, gain exposure to real-world digital projects, and see the impact of your work from day one.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate at the start of their career who's eager to break into digital development and grow their technical skills in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
At KBR, you'll explore your curiosity for the future through our self-guided Graduate Development Program—putting you in the driver's seat of your career. Join our best and brightest, and we'll help you build the skills, confidence, and experience to become a future leader, shaping a more sustainable world together.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Structure Development: Administer the organisation's database technology and associated schemas to facilitate secure, efficient, and effective access to structured data while maintaining data integrity
- Data Integration: Automate the movement of data between various sources to a centralised database using dataflows
- Data Integrity Management: Ensure data integrity by avoiding duplications and ensuring data is appropriately aligned and related
- Error Handling: Identify and resolve data issues promptly
- Security and Access Management: Handle database security and user access issues within the power platform environment
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of data structures and automation processes
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor database performance (e.g. dataverse actions and dataflow success rates) and aid in the development of procedures to optimise performance
- C# Plugin Development: Create plugins using C# to automate processes
- Collaboration: Work closely with users and developers to ensure data structures meet requirements
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, you'll bring strong problem-solving and analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and the confidence to communicate your ideas clearly, both in writing and verbally. You'll have completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
While not essential, experience with data manipulation tools such as SQL and Power Query will be highly regarded. An understanding of database design and architecture is beneficial, as is experience working with model-driven Power Apps. Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps will also be an advantage as you collaborate within a modern development environment.
