About the Role

  • Key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the General Manager.
  • Lead the efficient execution of dragline and dozer push overburden removal and coal operations.
  • Drive operational excellence and safety standards across all activities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, supporting team development and high performance.
  • Play a vital role in maintaining Blackwater's position as a top-tier mining operation.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee Dragline, Dozer Push, and Drill & Blast operations with confidence
  • Champion safety, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and project reporting to meet targets.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to inspire excellence.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in senior production role within coal mining.
  • Track record of delivering safety and production results.
  • Deep understanding of mining operations, safety, and commercial requirements.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills.
