About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Blast Hole Driller to join our longstanding team at Meandu Mine. Reporting to the Drill & Blast Supervisor, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality blast outcomes across site.

Please note that this is a Residential Mine - no camp accommodation or housing provided. As such this role would be best suited to current or returning residents of the Kingaroy region.

Key responsibilities:

• Execute safe and efficient drill and blasting activities: dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tying-in.
• Operate Overburden drill rigs.

About You:

The successful candidate will possess a combination of the following:

• Previous experience in open cut mining operations.
• Proficient in operating overburden drill rigs.
• High commitment to safety, teamwork, and compliance.
• Hold a current Drivers Licence.
• Hold a current Standard 11 SoA and Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain).
• Shotfirers ticket (Desirable not Essential).

Meandu Mine

BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation's Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine. Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.
