Port Adelaide South Australia Symons Clark Logistics Full time

Symons Clark Logistics is a 150-year-old, family owned, Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused MC Drivers (ideally unrestricted) to join our Regional Mining Operations Team locally, operating B-Double container combinations to support major mining contracts across South Australia.

These roles are critical in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient transport of containers from our Adelaide depot, with multiple roster options available to suit different lifestyle needs.

Roster Options Available

  • 7 days on / 7 days off
  • 7 days on / 4 days off / 7 days on / 3 days off
  • 12-hour shifts

What you will be doing…

  • Ensuring goods are loaded onto the truck safely and efficiently, checking that it's balanced and securely placed to avoid any damage during transit.
  • Inspecting all goods for any signs of damage or discrepancies before departure.
  • Ensuring all necessary transport documentation is accurately completed and compliant with regulations.
  • Conducting thorough pre-trip inspections, ensuring the truck meets safety standards.
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Overseeing the unloading process at delivery sites, ensuring that goods are handled carefully, and that all delivery documentation is signed off appropriately.
  • Supporting occasional site operations as required.

Do you have…

  • Current MC (ideally unrestricted) Licence.
  • A clean driving record with a proven record of safe driving with no major infringements.
  • Strong commitment to safety, fatigue management, and compliance.
  • An understanding and compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Effective customer service skills, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage responsibilities effectively.

Nice to have…

  • Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence (or willingness to obtain).

Additional Information…

  • Successful applicants will be required to provide a Fit to Drive Medical, undertake a Drug and Alcohol Screening and Police Check.
  • Successful applicants should have a sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and on road legal compliance and a willingness to work with GPS technology.
