Job Title:Health & Safety AdvisorsSalary:60 -65K AUDLocation -Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. Tasks and Responsibilities:· developing, implementing andreviewing environmental health management plans and occupational health andsafety plans· preparing and implementingplans and strategies for the safe, economic and suitable disposal ofcommercial, industrial, medical and household wastes· advising on and enforcinglegislation, implementing prevention economics and strategies for communicablediseases, food safety, waste water treatment and disposal systems, recreationand domestic water quality, contaminated and hazardous substances, andminimising air, sea, water and noise pollution to improve health outcomes· identifying hazards, andassessing and controlling risks in the workplace· developing, implementing andmonitoring programs minimising workplace and environmental pollution involvingchemical and physical hazards· promoting ergonomic principleswithin the workplace such as matching furniture, equipment and work activitiesto the needs of employees· inspecting and auditingworkplaces, processes, plant, and chemical and physical hazards for legislativecompliance· training employees in personalprotective equipment and safe working procedures· recording and investigatinginjuries and equipment damage, and reporting safety performance·       coordinating the return of injured workers into the workplace  Requirements· bachelor degree or higherqualification· In some instancesrelevant experience and/or on -the -job training may be required in addition tothe formal qualification· Registration or licensing maybe required.· High level interpersonal skillswith a strong customer service focus.· Ability to build and maintainpositive relationships and partner with all areas of the business.· Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills.
