Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- End-to-end payroll processing for salaried and hourly staff, including allied health practitioners, administrative personnel and executives (currently 40 employees) .
- Payment processing of Sub-contractor invoices (currently 14 contractors)
- Award interpretation and compliance with the Health Professionals and Support Services Award.
- Superannuation, leave accruals, and PAYG processing
- Regular auditing of xero timesheets against physical timecards
- Overlooking and ensuring correct calculation of commission bonuses
- Responding to payroll queries from staff in a timely and friendly manner
- Ensuring Single Touch Payroll (STP) compliance
- Reporting to finance and management on payroll-related metrics
- Collaborating with HR and Finance to streamline systems and processes
We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a payroll role (ideally 2 years)
- Familiarity with Australian payroll legislation, ATO compliance, and relevant Awards
- Experience using payroll software (Xero)
- High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
- A can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously
- Prior experience in the health or community services sector is highly regarded
