Join Our Grounds Team as a Full-Time Qualified Greenskeeper

Vikings Group is looking for a reliable and motivated Greenskeeper to join our Grounds team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in presentation, and wants to be part of a team that supports local sport and community.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Greenskeeper at Vikings, you will help maintain our sporting fields, bowling greens, and landscaped areas so they are always looking their best. It is varied, rewarding work within a supportive team. Your key responsibilities will include:

· Mowing, edging, and maintaining turf across sports fields and open spaces

· Preparing surfaces for sports including rugby, soccer, cricket, and lawn bowls

· Completing seasonal tasks such as aerating, topdressing, and turf renovation

· Managing weed control, pest control, and irrigation system upkeep

· Operating and maintaining machinery and tools such as mowers, tractors, and whipper snippers

· Assisting with gardening, landscaping, and general outdoor maintenance

· Following WHS procedures and keeping work areas clean and safe

· Occasionally supporting apprentices or assisting across multiple club sites

We are looking for someone with initiative, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with:

· Experience in greenkeeping, grounds, or landscape maintenance

· Familiarity with machinery and tools used in turf care

· A strong eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work

· A team-focused, can-do approach

· A current Australian driver's licence

· Availability for early starts and occasional weekend work

· A Certificate III in Sports Turf Management

· MR driver's license (desirable or willing to obtain)
