Apprentice Greenkeeper – Start Your Career with Vikings

Are you interested in working outdoors and learning a trade that keeps local sports facilities looking their best? Vikings is looking for a motivated 1st Year Apprentice Greenkeeper to join our team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification in Horticulture and Turf Management.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll work closely with the Head Greenkeeper and a small team to maintain our club grounds and sporting facilities. You'll:

· Help with the maintenance of playing fields and landscaped areas

· Operate and maintain turf and gardening equipment

· Carry out general gardening and landscaping duties

· Learn and apply turf management techniques as part of your formal studies

· Support day-to-day operations to ensure our venues are presented to a high standard

· Full time apprenticeship

We'll support your enrolment in the relevant CIT course and provide guidance throughout your apprenticeship.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with:

· Enjoys practical, outdoor work in all weather conditions.

· Is physically capable and reliable

· Is mechanically minded or keen to learn

· Works well in a team environment

· Has strong attention to detail

· Holds a current Australian driver's licence

This role requires early morning starts and some weekend work as part of a regular weekday roster.

The successful applicant will need Australian working rights and will be subject to a National Police History Check.
