About the Company
BM Webb Industrial Property is an established industrial property group that is renowned for its expertise in the design, construction, leasing, and management of industrial facilities within a premier estate located in a significant regional industrial hub. The estate is a sought-after destination for many of Australia's leading industrial businesses, offering tailored leasing options in both existing and purpose-built facilities, all within professionally maintained grounds.
The estate provides a private, secure, and highly functional environment with strategic access to key transport infrastructure, including an airport and central business district. With efficient connections to ports, rail, and major roads, the estate is designed for heavy vehicle access and supports the long-term operational growth of its clients.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of industrial and civil infrastructure projects across the estate. This role is responsible for managing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring quality, safety, budget, and schedule requirements are met. The position requires a proactive and strategic leader capable of working with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to deliver high-value developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Initiation
Define project objectives and scope for industrial and civil works across the estate, prepare feasibility assessments, and engage specialist consultants.
- Planning & Scheduling
Develop and manage construction programs, ensuring milestones, staging, and tenant-specific requirements are met without disrupting estate operations.
- Budget & Cost Control
Prepare detailed cost estimates, track budgets and variations, and apply value-engineering to optimise delivery.
- Stakeholder & Approvals
Manage relationships with tenants, internal teams, authorities, and regulators, ensuring compliance with statutory approvals and estate requirements.
- Procurement & Contracts
Oversee tendering, contractor selection, and contract administration, ensuring governance and risk controls are maintained.
- Site & Quality Management
Monitor construction progress, enforce safety and quality standards, and resolve non-conformances in partnership with contractors.
- Risk Management
Maintain risk registers, implement mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues affecting cost, schedule, or compliance.
- Communication & Reporting
Lead project meetings and provide clear, timely updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Handover & Close-Out
Oversee defect rectification, final certification, and smooth transition to operations and tenant fit-out.
- Continuous Improvement
Capture lessons learned and drive improvements in project delivery, safety, and estate development standards.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar environment in construction project management.
- Proven track record of managing industrial, commercial, or civil infrastructure projects.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and/or MS Office tools.
Qualifications:
- B Degree or higher (preferred) or proven experience (10+ years) in a similar environment in construction project management or site management, preferably in regional or remote settings.
What We Offer
- A secure, full-time role in a respected and growing industrial property group.
- Leadership opportunity on large-scale, high-value construction projects.
- Competitive remuneration package aligned with experience.
- Career progression opportunities in a long-established and reputable organisation.
