Hays are partnering with a well-established, ASX-listed gold producer headquartered in Western Australia in their search for an ambitious and driven Production Engineer. Our client are known for operating multiple underground and open-pit mines across the region.

This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, a supportive team culture, and the chance to work on a high-performing site.

Location: FIFO from Perth, WA

Roster: 8:6 Employment

Type: Permanent

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Delivering safe and efficient production engineering support to underground mining operations
  • Developing and implementing short to medium-term mine plans
  • Monitoring and optimising production performance against targets
  • Collaborating with technical and operational teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and site-specific safety standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience in underground gold mining operations
  • Strong understanding of mine planning software and production systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to safety

Requirements:

  • Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
  • Ability to work an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth
  • Current manual driver's licence
