Desertfire Online Talsico specializes in creating innovative solutions that address common workplace human errors, such as learning gaps, memory lapses, and inconsistency issues. We work primarily in the manufacturing industry, where the cost of errors is high. Our primary offerings are Process Picture Maps (PPMs), which are concise, visual job aids with integrated training videos, developed using the Desertfire Microsoft Word add-in/ These tools simplify complex procedures into user-friendly formats that operators can easily reference, improving safety, quality and productivity.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Writer & Instructional Designer, located in Sydney, NSW. The individual will be responsible for on-site interviewing of Subject Matter Experts, developing Process Picture Maps (a proprietary form of SOP), creating detailed technical videos, assessments and matrixes which structure learning, and implementing these tools to help improve process performance. In this role, the Technical Writer/Instructional Designer is responsible for the creation and roll-out of documents from end-to-end.
Qualifications
- Experience in Manufacturing, Technical Communication, and/or video editing
- Ability to translate complex processes into concise, visual, and user-friendly formats.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in developing user-focused instructional materials
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
