We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician who hold a current A Grade Victorian Electrical License.

We are offering a full time position with exposure to a diverse range of equipment and processes that will challenge the right person.

Working within a dynamic team you will be need to be self-motivated, reliable, conscientious and committed to required tasks.

Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Experience in a PLC, SCADA and Power Generation environment
  • Experience in Industrial Electrical and Electronic maintenance
  • Be able to work alone and/ or integrate within a team environment
  • Participate in new innovative projects and training where required
  • Great Fault finding capabilities and general maintenance skills
  • Ensure production processes are maintained to minimize downtime
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks via CMMS program
  • Be an integral member of the shift team roster and available for overtime when required
  • Post Trade qualifications in instrumentation and/or knowledge of the Food Industry would be advantageous
  • Industrial Refrigeration experience an advantage

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be part of our Maintenance Team and responsible for the smooth running of our production floor. Within this role you ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards to avoid downtime.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Respond to breakdown callouts throughout the shift ensuring minimal downtime
  • Periodically inspect and test electrical systems and recommend fixes or replacement strategies appropriate to the situation, avoiding costly breakdowns
  • Trouble shooting for our new commissioned production floor
  • Electrical upgrades and projects throughout the plant
  • Steel fabrication
  • Pneumatic Systems and Tools
  • Understand and commitment to OH&S

The right applicants will meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant Electrical trade qualification (A Grade)
  • Experience with control systems, preferred PLC/VSD
  • Previous experience as maintenance electrician or industrial electrical work essential
  • An understanding how a meat processing plant works would be highly regarded
  • Ability to work individual and in a team
  • Adhere to safe work practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Salary range : $90,000–$130,000pa
