About the opportunity:
The Production Estimator is part of the Wilson Homes Estimating team and reports to the Production Estimating Manager. The key focus of this role is to accurately determine and calculate the materials and trades required based on the contract documentation, plans, selections. More specifically, you will:
• Review and coordinate project documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency before approving for construction
• Prepare quantity take offs for materials, labour and plant from detailed plans and specifications
• Manage purchasing process, including issuing and maintaining purchase orders in line with supplier agreements
• Support the construction team by checking supplier quotations, actioning Building Variations and providing internal pricing guidance
• Oversee essential project records by maintain documentation, reconciling costs and processing invoices
About you:
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:
• Demonstrated estimating experience in residential construction
• Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code, statutory approvals, and residential construction methodologies
• Advance computer skills, including Excel proficiency
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to problem solve and liaise effectively with stakeholders.
• Outstanding attention to detail, strong organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• A Self-motivated attitude with a continues improvement mindset
