About the role
As a Data Analyst, you'll play a key part in supporting our organisation's data-driven decision making. You'll provide expert data management, analysis, and advice to ensure the quality, accuracy, and accessibility of our data. Acting as a bridge between business and technology teams, you'll help foster a data-driven culture and translate complex data into actionable insights.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and manage data requirements for stakeholders, documenting and updating as needed.
- Source, collate, analyse, and interpret complex datasets, presenting findings to key business stakeholders.
- Establish, modify, and maintain data structures using data analysis, design, modelling, and quality assurance techniques.
- Design and implement data extraction and translation scripts to support data quality, migration, integration, and reporting.
- Promote a data-driven culture and support the improvement of data literacy across the organisation.
About You
You are an analytical thinker with a passion for turning data into meaningful insights. You have a strong background in data management, analysis, and reporting, ideally within the energy sector or a similar asset-intensive environment. Your technical expertise is matched by your ability to communicate complex information clearly and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in a similar professional role, preferably in the energy industry or asset management.
- Proven ability to use a variety of data extraction, manipulation, and visualisation tools.
- Strong skills in SQL and the ability to work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate to achieve business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- An Advanced Diploma of Information Technology or equivalent experience/qualifications.
