Disability Support Worker

About the role

Annie's House Pty Ltd is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in Pittsworth, QLD. This is a casual role where you will provide essential support to individuals with a range of disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their community.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting clients with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
2. Providing companionship and engaging clients in social, recreational, and educational activities
3. Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, and reporting any concerns to the relevant stakeholders
4. Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met
5. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and procedures
6. Collaborating with the broader care team to deliver coordinated, person-centred support

What we're looking for

1. We are looking for people to work nights (Active, Inactive) and weekends
2. A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or an equivalent qualification
3. Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
5. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others
6. A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
7. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
