The role
We're seeking an experienced Site Supervisor (8–10+ yrs residential) to lead day-to-day delivery across one to two custom projects at a time. You'll own site outcomes—program, quality, safety, and client experience.
What you'll do
- Program & sequencing: Build and maintain 3–6 week lookaheads; drive daily/weekly trade schedules.
- Trade leadership: Coordinate, brief, and hold trades accountable to scope, standards, and timeframes.
- Quality assurance: Enforce NCC, Guide to Standards & Tolerances 2015, plans/specs; run pre-cover and critical stage checks; close defects promptly.
- Safety & compliance: Lead site inductions, manage SWMS/insurances, and uphold WorkSafe Victoria requirements.
- Client & stakeholder comms: Provide clear weekly updates, manage variations with office support, host key stage walk-throughs.
- Procurement support: Confirm site measures, POs, and deliveries with the office; prevent delays.
- Cost & risk control: Minimise rework and hire/standby costs; flag risks early and propose solutions.
- Records & systems: Update daily logs, photos, and checklists in Buildertrend; ensure inspections and sign-offs are documented.
What you bring
- 8–10+ years supervising custom homes / high-end residential builds in Victoria.
- Strong reading of architectural & structural drawings; confident on set-out tolerances.
- Proven trade coordination and negotiation skills with a calm, solutions-first mindset.
- Solid grasp of NCC, AS standards, Guide to Standards & Tolerances, and WorkSafe obligations.
- Fluent with Builders software program Buildertrend (or similar), email, and spreadsheets.
- White Card, valid driver's licence; own PPE. Carpentry background highly regarded.
