Experienced Float

At Newlands, we're looking for an Experienced Float / Tipper Operator to join our civil construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator with 10+ years of experience to work across a diverse range of projects within a supportive, professional, and safety-focused environment.

About the Role

As a Float / Tipper Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of heavy plant and equipment between sites, as well as the operation of tip trucks to support day-to-day civil works. You'll play a key role in ensuring our projects run smoothly, safely, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain float and tipper trucks to transport machinery and materials
• Load, secure, and unload plant and equipment in line with safety standards
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and ensure equipment is kept in excellent condition
• Support civil construction teams with on-site tasks as required
• Comply with all company safety policies and road transport regulations

About You

• Minimum 10 years' experience operating float and tipper trucks (essential)
• Current MC licence (essential)
• Strong knowledge of load restraint and heavy vehicle transport regulations
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and within a team
