Position Summary:

This is your chance to bring personality, flair, and a passion for great drinks to every service. As a Bartender at voco Melbourne Central, you'll be part of the vibrant Blacksmith Bar & Grill team, creating memorable moments behind the bar — from crafting classic cocktails to curating local favourites and recommending the perfect drink to match the moment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with professionalism and creativity
  • Provide warm, attentive, and engaging service to every guest
  • Maintain product knowledge on beverages, cocktail recipes, and wine lists
  • Ensure the bar area is well-stocked, clean, and presented at all times
  • Accurately process orders and handle transactions
  • Follow responsible service of alcohol (RSA) guidelines at all times
  • Support in bar setup, closing procedures, and stock management
  • Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Uphold food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification (essential)
  • Previous bartending or beverage service experience, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment
  • Solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Flexibility to work across varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Valid Australian working rights
