Holmwood Aged Care are currently seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team on a part time basis.

About the Role
The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for the safe provision of quality repairs and maintenance of the grounds and gardens to ensure the property is safe, well maintained and attractive for residents, families visitors and staff.
Duties will also include:
- Ensuring the facility grounds and external areas are kept clean and well maintained at all times.
- Supervising and coordinating external contractors in servicing the facility, manage relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Ensuring that all tasks detailed on the daily, weekly & monthly facility maintenance task lists are completed within set timeframes and all documentation is completed to ensure compliance.
- Identifying preventative maintenance requirements, complete the works and documentation of schedules.
- Assisting in sourcing appropriate suppliers and or contractors in consultation with the Facility Manager as required.
- Assisting with obtaining quotations and prices for maintenance and equipment items as requested.
About you
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in property/grounds maintenance and building works in a aged care setting (desirable)
- Trade background and several years industry experience will be highly regarded
- Hold current relevant tickets including a White/Blue Card
- A current drivers license
- A good understanding of WH&S and ability to maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate (desirable)
- Highly organised with a proven capability to self-manage and prioritise
- Ability to represent and build relationships with other divisions
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and basic computer skills
