Who are we?

The Village Family Mental Health Specialists is multidisciplinary specialist practice offering psychiatric and allied health services. Located in a beautiful boutique clinic setting in Melbourne's inner western suburbs, we offer specialised maternal health psychiatry and child psychiatry  amongst other special focuses.

The vacancy

The Village Family Mental Health Specialists now has a vacancy for a front desk Medical Receptionist on a permanent part time basis. The role commences in January 2026. The clinic is open Monday to Friday with the current vacancy for 1 or 2 days a week  (to be confirmed) with scope to increase.

It is preferred that the candidate be available to work additional days to accommodate staff leave.

Remuneration is 10% above award following the probation period.

Our ideal candidate

Our ideal candidate is someone with strong attention to detail & exceptional customer service skills. Two or more years experience in a medical administration role is preferred.  Our staff are compassionate and efficient.  They communicate transparently with colleagues, management and directors. We are seeking someone who is  looking for  long term appointment in a friendly and supportive environment.

To be considered, applicants must have:

· Strong ability to work autonomously & multitask in a busy reception setting

· Excellent customer service & ability for conflict resolution

· Adaptability to change

· Experience using Best Practice Medical records software - not essential

· Familiarity with Tyro and MBS and other billing schedules - not essential

· Excellent skills in Microsoft office, particularly outlook

· Maintain clinic daily operation and presentation

• Open and close The Village Clinic (VFMHS) in a timely fashion
• Maintain hygienic and aesthetic standards of common areas
• Assist Practice Manager in ordering stationery and utility supplies
• Assist other duties within the scope of an administrative role, as requested by Practice Manager and/or Directors

· Permanent residency with rights to work in Australia

· Must provide a copy of police check & WWC check
