Join a great team at HYGAIN Feeds Pty Ltd. Hygain started operations in 1983 and has grown progressively over the years extending its global market share, continually evolving its products based on solid nutritional research applied to equine needs.

About the role:

Hygain is looking for motivated person to join our production team at our Somersby site. Working in our production team you will be responsible for mixing, batching and pressing ingredients to specified formulations, ensuring you are adhering to our strict quality standards to ensure our products are produced to the highest standard for our customers. Full training will be provided for the right candidates.

Working roster:

Our Somersby mill operates on a fortnightly rotating roster as follows:


• Week 1 & 2, Monday to Friday 5:30am to 1:36pm (day shift)


• Week 3 & 4 Monday to Thursday 1:30pm to 11:30pm (arvo shift)


• Only day or afternoon shifts may be negotiated for the right candidate. i.e., no fortnightly rotating roster

About you:

To succeed in the role, you will require:


• Must have previous experience working in a production environment operating extruder mill and pellet press


• Able to operate a plant automation system preferably ProBatch


• Have excellent verbal and written skills


• A willingness to learn


• Be looking for a long-term career opportunity


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality


• A good understanding of Quality, WHS and Food Safety Systems


• Be reliable and motivated to succeed


• Take ownership, accountability and have pride in your work


• Be physically fit to undertake manual and repetitive tasks with the ability to lift up to 20kg


• Can do attitude with a team focus


• Experience in stock feed milling will be advantageous


• A forklift licence is mandatory
