Production Chef

We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Production Chef to join our commercial kitchen team. Our business specialises in producing premium sauces, relishes, condiments, and specialty products. This role is central to keeping daily production on track and ensuring our products maintain the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day production of sauces, relishes, and condiments to recipe specifications
• Follow established recipes and procedures to ensure consistent quality and flavour, including collecting and weighing ingredients accurately and completing cooking processes
• Complete batches on time to keep bottling and packing operations on schedule
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times
• Support the team by working harmoniously alongside other staff members
• Assist with production schedule planning to ensure smooth, continuous workflow

Additional Tasks (as required)

• Assist with HACCP and QA paperwork (although not responsible for maintaining the HACCP system)
• Help with bottling, labelling, packing, and end-of-day clean-up
• Provide input on stock levels, purchasing ingredients, and production efficiencies
• Contribute ideas for improving products, developing new lines, and upgrading equipment

About You

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, food manufacturing, or catering environment
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to follow recipes with precision and deliver consistent results in large batches
• Comfortable with commercial cooking equipment and physically fit (able to lift up to 20kg)
• Organised, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a small team
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement
