After Hours Medical Receptionist Casual – Townsville GP Superclinic

Casual hours – 3 to 5 Shifts a week – between hours 4pm and 10pm Monday to Friday, rotational weekends between hours 8.30am and 7pm.

Suitable position for after school hours and weekends

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Answering incoming calls, busy switchboard and professional emails

· Appointment bookings and managing multiple diaries on a software system

· Meeting and friendly greeting of patients – customer service

· General cleaning and upkeep of practice areas, following strict infection control requirements, stock take and restocking of supplies

· Willingness to learn, be directed and follow procedures

· COVID screening of entering patients, in compliance with current guidelines

· Dealing with patient enquiries, delays and rescheduling, over the phone and in person, including challenging situations

· Filing, scanning, copying

· Providing support / assistance to our healthcare professionals

The successful applicant must have:

· Exceptional customer service skills, with a polite manner, and empathic nature

· Enjoy a fast paced environment

· Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a positive and enthusiastic disposition

· Demonstrate outstanding organisational / time management skills, with the ability to multi-task

· A commitment to on-the-job training and ongoing learning and development

· Take pride in their written and verbal communication skills, paying attention to detail

· Willing to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a Team

· Intermediate computer knowledge/skills

· The ability to show empathy towards others and a general desire to assist patients, co-workers and professionals

· Current driver licence for errands (automatic work car)

· Australian citizenship or permanent residency essential (Working holiday visa employment unavailable)
