Future planning includes transition to a 7-day roster to better serve the community.
Tamworth Medical Imaging provides a supportive environment with clinical staff including Radiographers, Sonographers, Nurses, Radiologists, and administration staff who offer mentoring, education, and training to help you succeed in this role.
Where You'll Be Working
Tamworth is the central hub of the New England Northwest, with a population just under 60,000. Known as the country music and equine capital of Australia, the city offers a rich cultural heritage alongside a thriving agricultural community producing lamb, wool, beef, and a variety of pastures. Enjoy a temperate climate with four distinct seasons while living and working in a supportive regional environment.
You will be joining a well-established imaging department comprising 23 Radiographers, Sonographers, Nurses, Radiologists, and administrative staff, who work collaboratively to deliver exceptional health services to the local community. The team environment is supportive, with ongoing opportunities for professional development and multidisciplinary collaboration.
About You
The successful candidate will be a motivated and hardworking professional who excels in a fast-paced clinical environment. You should demonstrate strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team of clinical staff, along with excellent communication abilities to effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including Radiologists, clinicians, and administrative personnel. You will have the ability to work autonomously while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team culture, and a patient-focused approach, ensuring compassionate care to individuals and families. Flexibility and resilience to manage on-call duties and adapt to evolving roster demands are essential.
You will be passionate about fostering a positive workplace where mentoring, education, and ongoing professional growth are valued. If you are a motivated leader passionate about patient-centred imaging and eager to make a difference in a regional community, we encourage you to apply.
