Cyber Security Manager – Sydney | Hybrid (3 Days WFH) | $180–$210K + Super + Bonus

About the Role

Take the lead on implementing the ACSC Essential Eight and NIST CSF 2.0 frameworks. This hands-on leadership role covers cloud and infrastructure security, with a strong focus on governance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Essential Eight and NIST CSF 2.0 across Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure
  • Drive uplift of Azure security controls: identity, access, workload protection
  • Manage threat modelling, vulnerability management, governance, and incident response
  • Oversee Microsoft Defender Suite (Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, Cloud & Vulnerability Management)
  • Deploy and tune Sentinel SIEM for proactive detection and response
  • Strengthen security posture through collaboration with SOC vendors and internal stakeholders

About You

  • Strong cyber leadership experience in MS/Azure security environments
  • Solid grasp of NIST CSF, Essential Eight, cloud-native and Microsoft security
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and security reporting
  • Certifications highly regarded (Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM), but not mandatory
  • Experience with MS Purview valued
