Nuage has partnered with one of Melbourne's highest-performing data teams to hire a DataOps Engineer to support and evolve a large-scale Azure data platform. You'll be working across enterprise data pipelines, IoT feeds, Databricks workloads and alerting/incident response, blending platform engineering, operational reliability, and hands-on pipeline enhancement. This is a rare opportunity to join a mature data function working with some of the strongest engineers in the market, while still contributing to greenfield platform build work and new data source onboarding.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support & enhance enterprise-wide Azure data pipelines (ADF / Databricks)
  • Monitor and respond to production alerts & incidents (DataOps / Observability)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures and performance issues
  • Build and onboard new data sources into the platform
  • Work across IoT data ingestion and optimisation
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

Tech Stack

  • Azure (Data Lake, ADF, Synapse)
  • Databricks (Python, Notebooks, Spark)
  • GitHub / Azure DevOps CI/CD
  • Monitoring, alerting & automation tooling (experience with runbooks a bonus)
  • Solid SQL + Python scripting experience preferred
