About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Permanent Part Time (PPT) Chef to join our team at the Murrumbidgee Country Club in Kambah, ACT. As a PPT Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious meals for our members and guests in a casual, welcoming environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a range of dishes from our menu, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, following all health and safety protocols
  • Collaborating with the wider culinary team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers
  • Being adaptable and responsive to changing customer needs and preferences

What we're looking for

  • Formal chef training and qualifications (minimal Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery), with at least 2 years of experience in a similar casual dining environment
  • A passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals and a commitment to maintaining excellent food standards
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills to excel in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider culinary team
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to accommodate changing customer demands
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
  • Ability to work weekdays, Friday evenings and occasional night time function work
  • Multi skilled to run the entire kitchen operation including front of house when required. Barista training is desirable but not required
  • Ability to work independently or under direction
  • 20-25 hours per week
