About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Masters Draftsperson to join the Paramount Living team Working from our Head Office in Derrimut, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining master documentation and ensuring all plans comply with relevant standards and building codes. You will play a key part in standardising and refining drafting templates and processes, using your construction expertise to deliver accuracy, buildability, and consistency across all designs.

What you'll be doing

  • Creating and maintaining detailed master drawing sets covering all standard designs, façade options, and structural variations
  • Ensuring all master plans are accurate, clearly presented, and compliant with both company drafting standards and NCC/BCA regulations
  • Developing and managing operational manuals to support consistent use and updates of master files
  • Drive improvements in drafting processes, including template management and technical documentation standards
  • Provide training and ongoing support to production drafters on the use of master files, application of details, and adherence to drafting protocols
  • Collaborate with construction, estimating, suppliers, and consultants to confirm the accuracy and practicality of master designs
  • Oversee plan checks, including the incorporation of mark-ups, engineering updates, compliance adjustments, and resolution of pre-construction design issues

  • Ensure all documentation aligns with NCC requirements, developer guidelines, council regulations, and internal drafting procedures

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a residential drafting role, preferably with exposure to both production and master plan documentation
  • Advanced ArchiCAD skills, including the development and maintenance of drafting templates and detailed libraries
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods and buildability specific to the volume housing sector
  • Solid understanding of applicable codes and regulations, including NCC, BCA, Small Lot Codes and various developer guidelines
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong commitment to documentation accuracy and high drafting standards
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple drawing files and plan sets concurrently
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with an emphasis on efficiency, clarity, and practical application
  • Experience working with ArchiCAD-integrated BOQ systems and scheduling tools
  • Dependable and accountable for ensuring drafting quality and maintaining version control across all master documentation
