Mine Systems Technician | Permanent | FIFO 7:7 (Days Only)

We're looking for a hands-on
Mine Systems Technician
to join a high-performing mining operation, supporting and enhancing the site's operational technology (OT) and communications infrastructure.

This is a
FIFO role from Perth
on a
7:7 days-only roster
– a great opportunity to work with cutting-edge mining systems while enjoying genuine work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot OT systems to ensure reliability and uptime
  • Support digital radio, fleet management, and network systems across site
  • Work with microwave backhaul, Cambium/Cisco wireless mesh, and solar-powered infrastructure
  • Provide technical support for fleet systems (Wenco, Titan, GPS), CCTV, and mobile trailer/skid setups
  • Collaborate with your back-to-back for seamless handovers and documentation
  • Contribute to upgrades and the site's broader ICT/OT roadmap

Technology you will be working with:

  • Tait DMR digital radio systems (advanced knowledge highly regarded)
  • Cambium & Cisco wireless mesh networks
  • Microwave point-to-point backhaul systems
  • Fleet systems: WencoMine, GPS, Titan
  • Cisco switching & networking
  • Solar-powered skids, trailers, CCTV

Requirements Qualifications/Experience:

  • Telecommunications/electronics certification
  • ACMA Open Cabling Registration
  • First Aid and C Class Driver's Licence
  • HRWL – EWP, Dogging (desirable)
  • Proven experience in OT/comms support (mining or heavy industry)
  • Strong fault-finding skills, able to interpret schematics and documentation
  • Familiarity with Windows IT systems and core networking principles
