We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Junior School Teacher with a passion for Digital Technology,Environmental Science and Design to join our vibrant Junior School team. This is a unique opportunity to inspire and lead our Junior School students in a newly created position at Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and design curriculum that integrates Digital Technologies, Environmental Science and Design.
- Teach and lead engaging lessons in Digital Technology, Environmental Science and Design through inquiry based learning across the Junior School.
- Inspire students to understand and care for the natural world through authentic learning experiences that considers biomimicry principles integrating technology, sustainability and creative problem-solving.
- Encourage safe, responsible and ethical practices in both digital and environmental contexts.
- Contribute to the vibrant co-curricular life of the school.
The successful applicant will:
- Hold relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the VIT.
- Have experience teaching Digital Technologies, Science, or Design in a primary setting.
- Demonstrate expertise or strong interest in curriculum design and innovation.
- Bring a passion for sustainability, creativity and future-focused learning.
- Be committed to nurturing the wellbeing, growth and empowerment of every student.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
This is a part time 0.4 FTE ongoing position commencing Term
Additional Information
Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School has a zero tolerance policy for child abuse and is committed to promoting child safety, children's wellbeing and protecting children from abuse.
