About The Opportunity:
Collaborate with our Energy Division and overlook all workshop, field service & project activities and ensure all products are controlled and coordinated to UON's and the Client's standard while meeting/exceeding quality, time, safety and business objectives.
- Lead diverse teams through instruction, direction to deliver daily, weekly and medium-term task focused plans.
- Assess and manage the performance expectations of individuals in the team, seeking management or HR support and advice as required.
- Understand the safety, quality, velocity and cost drivers in the department.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of professional and personal conduct and behaviours when serving the needs of our customers, stakeholders (internal and external) and team members in accordance with UON's Code of Conduct and Behaviours Guide.
- Active involvement in the company's continuous improvement programs.
- Implement Management decisions effectively.
- Provide technical advice to UON personnel and clients.
- Responsible for updating and tracking workshop, field service and projects scheduling programs.
- Lead compliance with UON and Client HSE policies, procedures and systems and support all subordinates in their performance.
- Effective execution of risk identification, risk controls & safe work systems to all activities.
About You:
This position will suit an experienced Operations Supervisor with a Mechanical or Electrical trade background with exposure to dewatering infrastructure and power generation projects.
- Maintain personal accountability and hold a sound knowledge of UON's Business Management System including all policies and procedures.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound computer literacy skills
Requirements:
- Trades background in Electrical, Mechanical or Fabrication Disciplines
- A minimum of 5 years Supervisory experience.
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent preferred.
- Current Australian 'C' class manual Drivers Licence.
- Proven financial, risk, commercial, contractual and human resource management skills.
- Experience in power generation and or dewatering.
- Experience in working effectively with various divisions within a multi divisional the company
- Understanding of the drivers of performance and quality in an assembly or manufacturing environment
