Due to high demand, we are seeking enthusiastic community-focused people who want to make a difference by connecting and supporting older people within the Alpine & Indigo Shires.

About this Role

  • 3 x part time roles (0.4 EFT)

  • You will provide compassionate home-based care by building trust and taking the lead to support individuals to live as independently as possible at home and stay connected to their community.

  • Individual care that is tailored to suit the personal needs of our individual clients.

Duties

  • Provide personal care to our clients including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.

  • Provide general home support and light housekeeping duties, assistance with meal preparations, and companionship.

  • Provide incidental transport to appointments, shopping and social outings.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support

  • Possess exceptional communication skills, can-do attitude, empathy for and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.

  • Have patience, and a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.

  • Be personable, compassionate, approachable and able to build relationships with each of your clients.

  • Be reliable, responsive, efficient, confident and proactive.

  • Value and enjoy the company of older people.

Preferred Requirements

  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence and have access to a reliable car, and comprehensive car insurance.

  • NDIS Worker Screening Test

  • Level 2 First Aid

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or have a Right to Work in Australia.
