The Role: 

We are seeking a Junior Accountant with 1 year of experience in public practice to join our team. You will gain hands-on experience preparing tax returns, assisting with financial statements, and learning the fundamentals of client advisory under the guidance of senior accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare individual and basic business tax returns.

  • Assist with BAS/IAS preparation and lodgment.

  • Support the preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, and partnerships.

  • Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies as required.

  • Maintain accurate work papers and documentation.

  • Learn and develop technical tax and accounting knowledge through practical experience.

About You:

  • 1 year experience in a public practice accounting firm.

  • Working towards or intending to commence CA/CPA (preferred).

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Basic understanding of Australian taxation (exposure to tax software an advantage).

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and professional development.
