As a Senior Media Officer you will actively participate as a senior member of a team of media and communications professionals to develop and deliver innovative reactive and proactive media solutions that enhance health outcomes for Queensland health system consumers. You will develop and maintain relationships with senior management across Queensland Health, including HHSs, other Queensland Government agencies and key stakeholders across the health sector. Additionally, you will provide advice to clients on proactive media strategy and delivery, and on issues management.

Role fit:

Demonstrated experience in delivering significant or complex communication, media or engagement projects within agreed budgets and timeframes, ensuring all output is aligned to strategic priorities.

Very strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in partnership and build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong issues and crisis management skills, including the ability to effectively analyse and understand complex information and negotiate successful outcomes for the organisation.
