About Cohort Staffing:

Cohort Staffing is a leading homecare and disability sector staffing agency. We connect experienced and compassionate support workers with care providers across Victoria. With a deep understanding of industry needs, we focus on creating meaningful employment opportunities while delivering exceptional support to our clients.

We are currently recruiting casual Disability Support Workers who are available to work multiple shifts during the holiday period. This role involves providing high-quality support to both male and female clients, including personal care, community access, domestic assistance, and promoting independence in daily living activities. To be successful in this role, you will need to be compassionate, reliable, and flexible with your availability, and hold a current Victorian driver licence with minimum third-party car insurance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely perform manual handling tasks, including the use of hoists
  • Deliver respectful and dignified personal care
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
  • Support participants with daily activities
  • Provide safe and reliable transport to clients to scheduled appointments, programs, and community activities
  • Maintain accurate and detailed progress notes and documentation

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience in disability support, with competence in manual handling techniques, personal care, and the use of hoists
  2. Certificate III or IV in Disability or a related field
  3. Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  4. Valid Working with Children Check – Employee (or ability to obtain)
  5. NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
  6. NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  7. Infection Control training certificate
  8. Manual Handling Certificate
  9. Safe Food Handling Certificate
