We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Practice Manager to take the helm of our modern GP clinic in the heart of Airlie Beach – the gateway to the Whitsundays. This is a unique opportunity to combine a rewarding healthcare management role with an enviable tropical lifestyle.


The Opportunity

As our Practice Manager, you will be the driving force behind the clinic's smooth operation and future growth. You'll lead a passionate team of healthcare professionals, ensure excellence in patient care, and contribute directly to the success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinic Leadership & Operations: Oversee day-to-day management of staff, rosters, workflow, and resources.
  • Accreditation & Compliance: Lead clinic accreditation processes, maintain compliance with RACGP standards, and ensure all policies/procedures meet regulatory requirements.
  • Recruitment & Workforce Development: Work closely with medical recruiters to attract and retain high-quality GPs and allied health professionals; manage onboarding and training.
  • Financial & Performance Management: Monitor budgets, billing, and KPIs; deliver monthly performance reports; drive initiatives to enhance profitability and service quality.
  • Team Development: Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional growth opportunities for staff.
  • Patient Experience: Ensure the highest standard of care and satisfaction through efficient systems and a patient-first culture.

About You
  • Proven experience in practice management within a GP or allied health clinic.
  • Demonstrated success in accreditation processes and compliance management.
  • Skilled in recruitment partnerships and workforce planning.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in clinic software systems, Medicare billing, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in clinic software systems (Best Practice), Medicare billing, financial reporting, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Passionate about patient care and fostering a positive, team-focused workplace.
  • Available to commence immediately or within a short notice period.
