We are an economic regulator accelerating carbon abatement for Australia. We do this by administering Australian Government schemes to measure, manage, reduce and offset carbon emissions in Australia.

Our role is determined by climate change law. We administer schemes that contribute to the Australian Government climate target of reducing emissions to 43% below 2005 levels by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to support the delivery of the Product Guarantee of Origin program. Under broad direction, the Assistant Manager will report to the Manager of Product Guarantee of Origin. In this role, you will lead stakeholder engagement and communication strategies, manage a high-performing team, and oversee governance, risk, and compliance activities. You will conduct complex assessments, contribute to operational policy development, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including IT enhancements. With strong legislative knowledge and analytical skills, you will lead the preparation of briefing material and analytical reports for the Minister, senior executives and agency committees. You will also support the section manager in achieving team deliverables and may act in the Manager role when required.
