We're looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to join our Braddon team.

Waves Carwash is a successful Canberra-based business with three locations and plans to expand further across and beyond the ACT. We pride ourselves on quality client service, a supportive workplace, and recognising the efforts of our team.

This is a small team environment where you'll lead by example — working side-by-side with your team while also assisting in site leadership and operations. For the right person, this role offers a strong pathway into senior management as our business grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively work with the team daily to ensure smooth site operations
  • Supervise and motivate team members to achieve targets and deliver excellent service
  • Contribute to daily meetings and ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Assist with rostering, stock management, and reporting
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues on the spot
  • Identify and report any machinery or operational issues
  • Attend management meetings and contribute to site performance reviews

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a team environment, ideally in a supervisory or senior role
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with KPIs, reporting, and basic staff cost management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to grow with the company
